Fantasy Football: Sleepers You Must Target

It’s been 234 days since Fantasy Football enthusiasts were last able to meaningfully tinker with their lineups. In that time, some of the league’s best talent was traded, college football stars were drafted and NFL free agents found new gigs.  The following NFL standouts are players we believe to benefit from the league wide shake up and, thus I present you with sleepers to target in drafts.

Trey Burton: Since entering training camp with the Chicago Bears in late July, Trey Burton has established himself as one of Mitch Trubisky’s favorite targets and for good reason. Despite playing behind Zach Ertz for the past several seasons in Philadelphia, Trey Burton has been widely considered to be one of the best backup tight ends in the NFL. Now in a Matt Nagy, tight end-oriented offense where he is the starter, he will finally be getting the volume necessary to be one of the best at his position.

Royce Freeman: A first year out of Oregon, Freeman might just be the next rookie running back to take the league by storm. Given his success at Oregon and the Broncos lack of depth, he is bound take over lead back duties with his only competition being Devontae Booker. Assuming Freeman beats out Booker, C.J Anderson’s 245 rushing attempts will likely be allocated to him.

Amari Cooper: In consequence of Amari Cooper’s downturn of a season, it is standard among fantasy football enthusiasts to question his stature. However, while this fact remains, his ruination should rather be ascribed to the several injuries he endured over the course of the season. Under the condition that he’s healthy, count on Cooper to return to form.
